Restore the Balance Wellness
Hi, my name is Sue Fogarty. I was born in London, UK but have lived here in Perth, Western Australia since 1987. I’m a wife, mother and grandmother.
The name “Restore the Balance” comes from the phrase “May Love Restore the Balance”. These are words that I often use in my own meditation and a theme of my work and my life.
I have been student of “A Course in Miracles” for over 7 years. At our deepest level we are connected to something more than just ourselves and connected to each other.
This deep awareness is Love, some may call it God, The Divine, or the Universe. I believe that I am Love in my heart and I would like to share and teach that love.
I had a long career in nursing from the age of 18 until 2021, and I am interested in everything to do with health and wellbeing.
I have 2 postgraduate qualifications: Graduate Certificate of Nephrology Nursing, and Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education.
I have worked in various types of nursing over the years including 13 years as a kidney dialysis nurse and 10 years as a Credentialed Diabetes Educator. This is work that I loved, supporting people with diabetes and helping them to learn self-management.
I am now working as a certified results coach, both dynamic and traditional coaching. I love to help people move on when they are feeling “stuck” in any area of their lives.
I am a qualified reflexologist, a therapy I trained in many years ago (1997) and I have recently become more active in this work again.
Over the years I have trained in many modalities including West Australian Flower Essences and Reiki. I also offer a beautiful relaxing aromatherapy treatment known as AromaTouch with DoTerra essential oils.
In 2016 I completed a course to be a meditation facilitator. I had meditated on and off for many years but got more interested as I realised how much stress affects people with chronic health conditions.
Meditation is such a valuable tool to help with stress management, and stress management is a vital part of good health!
I run small meditation groups to support people to make meditation a part of their lives. Some of the participants have many years of experience and some have never meditated before. I am happy to work with you at whatever stage you are at.
About the site/blog
I started this site in 2017 and things have changed since then. All the old blog posts are still relevant but some of the links may no longer exist.
I hope to include stories about my own health challenges and my own spiritual and personal growth as it is often hard to separate them from my work. It is through working on our own stuff that we have insights into how to help others.
