I have been meditating on and off for many years. Over the last 2 years I have made it a regular daily practice. It certainly helps me to cope better with life and I now enjoy it so much I really miss it if I miss it!
The reason I got more interested a couple of years ago is connected to my work as a diabetes educator. I teach people about physiology related to their diabetes, and about the effect that lifestyle can have on the body. This includes nutrition, exercise and stress management.
